After The Storm, A Fun Day, Sick Again?

Above is a picture my daughter took this morning as she was going out to school. I thought it was really neat looking. Its what our sky looked like this morning after a nasty storm (heavy rain, hail and strong winds) went through last night.

Right now its sunny and 61 already @ 10am, going into the low 70's today and 79 by Sunday. Cant wait to get outside.

Yesterday morning was littleman's kite/picnic as most of you know from yesterday's post. Don't look for pics cause I didn't take any was too busy with all the kids.

All the kids and the 5 parents that showed up had a great time. The pre-k teacher bought all the kids kites from the dollar store and there were 2 classes out side running around trying to fly these things. Because of storms that were coming last night, it was windy and therefore a wonderful kite flying day. One small problem ... trying to keep 24 kids from getting their kites tangled up in each others. Littleman had a ball and so did I. After we flew the kites, we all sat on blankets on the grass and ate the picnic lunches we had brought.

So after a long, fun morning we went to Wal-Mart to get a few things and littleman except for some coughing and nose yucky, he seemed fine. I was almost positive his nose and coughing was from allergies he has and drainage from taking the Claritin. So we get home and he tells me he is hungry again and wants cheese. I give him the cheese and 5 minutes later he tells me "MOMMY, I don't feel good" and pukes at my feet! What a lovely mess that was, NOT! So I get him cleaned up and go back to clean up the mess only to find it almost gone because my stupid Beagle is eating it ewwwwwwwwww! All I have to say is thank goodness for hardwood floors. Littleman didn't eat much of anything for the rest of the day and spent most of it in bed.

Littleman coughed off and on most of the night. This morning he still has a cough but doesn't seem as bad and the nose is still yucky. But thank goodness "knock on wood" no more puking! Still not sure if all of this is a yucky virus or those terrible allergies that he gets this time of year. So I will just have to watch him.

Thanks for all the nice comments on my TT post yesterday. I don't normally talk about my childhood but like they say its always easier to write/type things out then actually talk about them. HUGS!

Sorry to hear Littleman is sick again. Hopefully, it won't be a long drawn out thing this time.

I love the pic your daughter took. It brings 'hope', I think. I can almost smell the fresh air down your way after the storm. Don't you just love going out doors after a storm has cleared out? So fresh and clean smelling!

Thanks for sharing in your Thursday Thirteen. Divorce is hard on everyone, the parents divorcing, the kids, the marriages of the kids later...which includes grandkids etc.

I LOVE to fly kites! We used to have major "races" to see who could get it up the highest, whose could stay up the longest, etc. A few years ago, our friend brought his back down and his string and kite had icicles on it, I kid you not!!! Talk about high.

Aren't you glad you're not a dog?!

Sorry Little Man's sick again. Poor guy.

Glad the kite picnic was fun. We're getting ready to go to Jacob's spring carnival at school. He's excited. I'm sure I'll be excited once it's time to leave... for home ;)

Hopefully the cough won't manifest into anything....sheesh! It's been one heck of a winter and I'm glad that it's warming up all over!

Yuck, yuck, yuck on the puke! Our dog does the same thing. Sometimes the dog even eats her own puke. I'm so glad lunch was a few hours ago. Hope Little man is starting to feel better. Nothing worse than having a little one that isn't feel all so well.

Great pic! We're supposed to have a high of 67 tomorrow, but looking at more snow coming in Monday.

I hope he feels better. Maybe he puked from the phlegm in his throat. My animals will do that, too. When my little boy was a baby, he spit up a ton and if we weren't quick to wipe it up, the dog was right there. Granted it was just milk spit up, but still...eww.

Hope he feels better soon!

Ohhhhh, I do hope your Littleman is better. Being sick is no fun and yet it seems like there's still so much of it going around. Talk about knocking on wood-we have been fortunate enough not to have any of it YET this year. Bring on Spring!!!

I also went back and read yesterday's post. It's amazing how much you remember about the details of your childhood. I still remember the night my father left, as well. Not all that dramatic, but nonetheless one of those things a child obviously never forgets. (As well as first pets!!!)

I'm new to this TT thing, so thanks for linking me. I decided to try something new, so now I'll have to stick with it! :)

I always had a dog growing up, I'd bring home strays all the time - I loved it - probably because I'd never have to clean up after them or watch them eat puke... YUCK. With the warm weather will come better health. I can't wait to open up some windows and let the fresh air in!!!!

Yuck! Two things that really gross me out...being puked on, and watching an animal eat it up.

(((shivers)))

I hope littleman starts feeling better soon.

I am sorry littleman is sick. It could be allergies or virus. When you live in the south like we do it can be either. I read your Thursday 13 and realized we are soooo much alike. I love dawn dolls I had forgotten about them. Did you ever have the one that spun around on the record player? I also had mrs. Beasley and Chrissy. WOW amazing isn't it.
