~But I Don't Have This One...~

This is what I heard come out of Littleman's mouth when we were in Wal-Mart over the weekend and he was talking about cars. Now the last thing this child needs is another hotwheel/matchbox car (see pics below, some his, some inherited from my oldest) and how he keeps track of them all is beyond me but he finds one and this is how the conversation goes....

Littleman: Can I have this Hummer?

Me: Littleman, the last thing you need is another car.

Littleman: But I don't have this one, please can I get it.

Me: You have so many already, How do you know you don't have that one.

Littleman: Because I know what cars I do have.

Me: Well Iam not paying for another car.

Littleman: Well I have money in my baseball bank.

Me: You are going to give me the money for it?

Littleman: Yes, I told you I have it in my baseball bank.

I buy the car reminding him that he has to pay for it and he agrees. So we get home and he asks for the car. I say to him, "Aren't you forgetting something?" To which he tells me, "Oh yeah" and goes to his bank and takes out a dollar. Then he takes out all his cars, goes over them very carefully and then in a smug voice says, "See I told you I don't have this one!" and goes off and plays. Not much else I could say, he was right on this one :-).

Right now he is running around the house all excited because its Dad's night out tonight at his school and since hubby is away working, my oldest is going to go with Littleman. Littleman just cant wait.

This all came from a single layer car hotwheels carcase. He also has another case that a double layer one.

Plus this rubbermaid container full of cars. Can you tell what one of his favorite things to play with is??? LOL

Nice car collection! Don't know how he keeps track of what he does and doesn't have, but the kid's good. I think I need to start up a collection of something.

That's an impressive car collection - even more impressive is the fact that he knows what he has and doesn't have!! But I guess I know what I do and don't have in my collections of stuff. WTG Littleman - the Hummer rocks!

LOL, and it doesn't stop. My son is seven and still plays with them. I have moved ALL of his cars into an oversized laundry basket and it's FULL!

It is amazing that he knows what he has, lol!

Jacob was the same way! He never had two of the same kind and had a rubbermade container full. He could remember what one he needed, but couldn't remember to put the toilet seat down ;)

Isn't that funny how they can keep track of every single one they have?! My girls can do that with Polly Pockets!

I love that! My brother had a gazillion match box cars, too. He used to play "accident" with them and hit them with hammers to cause "accident" damage. We laugh hysterically about it now! Better keep the hanmer away from Littleman.

I can't email you! LOL! Anyhow-- I posted my weight because... I wanted accountability-- I wanted to see if being in the "public eye" would help. Email me-- if you want, I'll go into more depth. or maybe I'll do a post about it later. I'm at work, and recess is almost over. LOL!

Tell him he can get the Hummer if he can afford the gas for it. haha...
That's quite a collection as it is. Do you ever step on them? I'm all too familiar with THAT experience. Our 2 year old puts them in our shoes, too.
