New Meaning To "Keep Your Mouth Shut"
I visited my favorite place today NOT! I swear if its the last thing I do I will NEVER neglect my teeth again! Today was "cleaning" day and boy did he ever clean my teeth and then went after my poor gums which were extremely sensitive. So much so that he had to give me 4 shots and numb my entire mouth and what a sight that was, I couldn't feel or move my bottom half of my face. I couldn't even talk, just make sounds, LOL and wouldn't you know it as Iam leaving my darn cellphone rings. So here Iam thinking to myself "You got to be kidding!". I look to see who it is and its my daughter calling from school. I try to answer it but nothing but sounds come out. She realizes why Iam just making sounds and asks me to pick her up because she isn't feeling good. She asks, I say "un huh" and hang up.
Thanks goodness I left the dentist at 11:00 and she didn't want to be picked up until 12:20. The school office would of had a nice laugh at me trying to sign her out. Thanks goodness by then I was able to feel some of my face and get her. She wasn't feeling good this morning, tried to get her to stay home but she didn't want to miss the first half of her classes.
Of course the first thing she does when she gets home, gets on the phone and calls someone else that was out sick today. Right now she is on that thing again, (were we always on the phone like that when we were teens?). Anyways she seems fine now, says she still has a small headache but otherwise ok. Oh and littleman & I (knock on wood) are doing better also.
On another note ... Anyone watch the new CBS show "The Unit" ? It's on Tuesdays at 9pm est and yes just what I don't need a another TV show to watch but I have to tell you all, I got hooked last week! Hey I need something to watch while I wait for "The Amazing Race" to come on.
Posting this then going to bed, will visit you all tomorrow :-)

I hope this new show actually does better than the show Over There...
you know how i feel about that because iwas over there...
OUCH! Your daughter could have thought that some cave person answered your phone....just doing all this grunting, lol!

My hubby and watched The Unit and liked it. I think we'll make it a regular. We'll have to tape it since he is gone Tuesday evenings but that's okay. We'll just watch it on a different evening. :)
So glad you and littleman are feeling better...those dentists...they can set you back, can't they?!
See, that's why I keep putting off going to the dentist!

I've had so many bad experiences with dentists in the last two years...I tell you, I wish they offered a course in "simple dentistry for the individual" just so I could learn to take care of my own teeth.
Thanks for the info about myspace. I hadn't heard all that about it, but it makes me leary now. I'm not keeping a journal on there, for sure now!
I am getting my teeth cleaned tomorrow. But I booked Miss Soft, she is wonderful. I had another lady once and thought: never again, Miss Soft or nobody! hope everybody is feeling better :¬)

I love my dentist but I'm always scared. Yet I tempt fate biting on the hardened popcorn kernels that I love or chewy candy......

Where have I been!! I've missed so many of your postings. I was watching American Idol before Amazing Race. I so love those hippy guys, and the mother and daughter team. I hate the dentist and need to go, I fear cleanings and anything involved with my gums.
Ugh, I go for my cleaning at the end of March. What fun that shall be!
Heather: At first I didnt like the hippie guys but now i do and the mother/daughter team has been my favorite since day one. The dentist definitely has to go. I felt sorry for his wife last night.

Lmao! The same thing happened to me when I went to get cavites filled. My son calls from school because he spilled milk on himself and needed new pants. When I got to the school i was glad the secretary knows me pretty well! I explaned as well as I could and she just said "oh I have a dentist appt tomorow, thanks for the reminder"! I am glad you feel better:)
I haven't been to the dentist since right after my son was born-- I was so sick she asked if I had bulimia.. *sigh* LOL-- anyhow, hope today was loads better!
i just listened to freshair today and the guy who created theunit was on. talk about coincidence! Glad everyone is feeling better!
oh gosh...i was drooling all over when my mouth was numb and i didn't even know i was drooling!! embarassing! i couldn't feel anything with the fat lips!
hopefully no more posting about littleman getting sick for a while ..i've never watched the unit, i will watch it next time!!! seems like a good show!
